Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral from my Dr to see you?

No referral needed unless your insurance covers massage and they require a doctors referral.

How long will my appointment be?

Your first appointment will be 60 minutes long and follow up appointments will be 30 or 45 or 60 minutes.

Will I have to take my clothes off during treatment ?

You will be treated through your clothes.   Sometimes it is helpful to see your back for example and it may help to lift your shirt or remove it briefly but you will always be in a private setting and only with your permission.  If you have a knee problem for example it may be best to remove your jeans but you can wear shorts if you like or will be draped with a blanket.   You may bring your own shorts to the appointment.

Since you work through clothes are there any particular clothes that I should wear?

It is much easier for me to work through clothing that does not have thick seams or large buttons on the pockets.  Blue jeans are hard to work through and not recommended .  Yoga or sweat pants or dress pants are good.

I am seeing my Dr for my health problems and am taking pills.  Can you see me still treat me?

My work will not interfere with the treatment you are getting from your Dr nor any pills that you are taking.

I have had lots of treatments like acupuncture, chiropractic, and physical therapy.  If they couldn't help me how can you?

This therapy is aimed at finding the cause of the symptoms and treating your WHOLE body. Other therapies do not address the cranial restrictions so cranial sacral therapy has that advantage. Usually with this therapy you have less frequent treatments than other therapies as we will get a lot achieved each visit.  This therapy has a track record of having good success.

Is Cranial Sacral Therapy safe?

It is very safe if the therapist is properly trained.  You will be safe in my hands as I have many years of training and over 30 years of experience working with many different cases.

Will my insurance pay for my treatment?

If your insurance covers massage therapy your treatment may be covered, however, I do not directly bill the insurance company and it will be your responsibility to check with your insurance to see if they cover massage.  You will be given a receipt to give to the insurance for reimbursement.

What type of payments do you accept?

You may pay with cash, check, credit card, HSA card, paypal, venmo or zelle.
